2015-2017 

 

“The intent arises from the need to heed the senses for the looks that seriously questioned the patterns of which I am impregnated.
The interesting thing is to note how societies do not move differently from the same objectified body."

Values that are in every daily unspoken attitude. 

The foreign experience - a seemingly casual experience that was also threatening -  

made it evident and necessary to talk about how many boundaries are built up for a woman to exist.

“It´s not about how I was saw in India, but how I am daily formated do be “as a woman should be”

TEMPLE

2017 

 

The temples of Khajuraho (India) are known for the sculptures that adorn their exterior. The material division is clear: Sacred - within; Profane - out. Our experiences do not bring this split as evidenced, and we live overlapping sensations, concepts, feelings. Connections change outside-outside, outside-inside, inside-outside, inside-inside ... And so we glimpse the Profane that is inside, the Sacred that is outside, and everything that mixes in this infinite sky inside.

 

 

 
LOST AND FOUND

2014 

 

"In 2014 I decided to go on a road trip. I drove 780 km in one day to reach this beach town. Many photographers were there gattering around and meeting each other. But I couldn't stay there ´cause i had to go out and search for someone, so I registered every place I know she's been. After one week I drove back home and now, 6 years later, I still keep on losing and looking for myself in every sight i've seen." 

 

 

 
A SUNDAY SMILE

2010 

 

"Me and my friend John spent more than one year saying that we must go to that abandoned farm at the north side of our city - e by our city we meant where we were living, not being born. 2010 wasn't the happiest year for both of us, being happy was a distant distraction most of the times. Then it happened: one sunday we woke up together (okay, i'm not assure of it but it sounded more poetical), took our cameras and just headed to that place. Curiously we finded the way easily and stayed there for a few hours. By the time we decided to go back, some cows were rounding the car, we got afraid and thought: “what a brilliant/stupid idea to come here!” - but nothing really happened. 

Then we laughed. A lot."
